Chewmassa Now where could my pipe be?

Now I know its nothing special, but this is by far the most beautiful wheat penny I've found searching rolls. 2017-08-29 23.02.30.jpg 2017-08-29 23.03.34.jpg
By the time you read this it'll be in a cardboard holder :D
Sorry about the shaky picture of the obverse, I was pretty excited.

Sure, as coins go, it's as common as can be, but yeah... if you found one that roll-searching, then that is indeed a cool find! Nice example.

First time I've seen your new avatar @lordmarcovan. I like that it reveals the expected level of fanaticism . . . from the coin's point of view.

    Y'look like you've just cracked open a chestful of treasure . . . . Aarrrgh!

Actually, there is an entirely different reason behind the new avatar, and I took the picture as an inside joke (more on this later- note the bandage above the eye patch).

But I agree - it did come out with the necessary fanatical look, so I ran with it as a temporary avatar. ;)

(Edit- and now I've changed avatars again, so this post makes no sense.)

every once in a while a really nice wheat is found and you found a very nice one. Keep looking there out there.

and here I am, trying to figure out the "coin's point of view" and how it is looking down at your dog... and I'm looking for a bandage and an eye patch on your dog... and I don't see any "treasure" whatsoever... AAAARRRGGGGHHHH! ;-)

I changed avatars yet again. Am rather flighty this week.

But none of that has anything to do with @Chewmassa finding the really nice Wheat cent in the original post, so I must beg forgiveness for the hijack. Back to the topic at hand.

I have never found one remotely that nice when roll-hunting.

Dangerous, but very high grade. Definitely a high relief specimen.

I wish I could get my computer to work, because I took a better picture with my camera and it looks like this coin has a couple of die chips in the date.
