it was such a scam it said this company found 3,700 morgans and that you can have them BU- fine grade for $19.90 i just bought an AU morgan last week for $16
I saw it! lol It made it sound like there was only 3,000 morgan dollars. But considering the rip offs that are normally on tv and in the newspaper, it's not that bad.
I saw it last night and ordered five. Hope I get fine coins! Kidding of course - I like the way they advertise them as BU to fine and not the other way around. My wife liked the silver price charts and allusions to $50 an ounce. Of course China is a rich nation now as well? That commercial was like reading a bad ebay auction!
Hi rotobeast and Philly Dog, Could you provide the source where you purchase the common date AU-BU quality Morgans at such a reasonable price, if you don't mind. Thanks!
I buy mine at a local auction that occurs every 3 months. I've seen several on eBay go for similar prices though.
If anybody here ever wants to buy in bulk (100 +), silver dealers sell them in Vf and better for as little as $12 a piece. A buck more for smaller quantities. The only catch is that there is no guarantee that there will be no scratches or minor damage. Usually they sell the ones in lower condition closer to melt value.
