    This looks like a globe (map) and it is found on several Brazil coins. I believe it is a global navigation thingie but I forget the name. Perhaps someone that knows about it can comment here.

    1716 2 Stuiver West Frisiae, a part of what is now called Holland or the Netherlands. These coins were circulated in the Dutch East Indies and many of them can be found pierced like this one.
