What looks fake? It looks 100% real, it is a very common coin that I am not sure is faked very often. A very nice earlier British copper!
I was considering one of these to go with my George III half-penny, penny and two pence. Looks fine to me.
It's real, but not worth a lot. Probably <$5 and if you look around at coin shows, you can sometimes find them in a "junque" box for a buck or 2 (in this condition)
Its real. Here is what it looked like when minted. It should be a half penny like This one. and here is another one raw
25 cents for any worn copper at my local coin shop. I have a forty pound bin of 1700's and 1800's coppers that I have bought in the past five years there. I still get a rush seeing the old 1720's-1807 George Halfpennies and Farthings in the bin, nice piece!
Not worth much as a coin in that condition but fantastic when placed in a holder and labeled as a battlefield dug war trophy from the War of 1812. I specialize in enemy coins that circulated while we were fighting a war with them. You could also snag 1798 to 1802 French coins from the Quasi War which was fought solely at sea with no land battles.
