    This is a brand-new 2017 P Ellis Island from the Federal Reserve in South Florida to me.
    I have noticed this incident on quite a few of the quarters I have examined so far.
    This one by far is the worst and at least I could photograph some of it.
    Do to so many that I have found, it is my opinion this was a damaged roll. Prior to production.
    It is like some chemical was splashed on the roll. The reverse looks okay except for the ladies knows, I have to find this quarter and re-examine it I totally missed that.

    The obverse just looks like rolling machine damage. I don't know what is going on with the reverse.
