Someone just tried to scam me on eBay.

    No, I'm telling you in that hypothetical example that the difference in photographs is worth $10 to you, yet yourself did absolutely nothing to earn the $10 . . . you didn't even ask the creator if you could use them.

    More on the subject. Basically, you can never use any photo, anywhere, anytime, ever - except your own.

    Personally, I feel that if you don't want someone to use your photographs then just keep them to yourself and don't publish them. I have taken and made public many photographs and by making them public I have given my unstated approval for their use in any way desired.
