I usually do between 4 to 8 boxes of halves and check in with calling my friendly neighborhood tellers to see if anything comes in from pennies to halves. Always ask about Eisenhowers. I have a regular fund of pennies I regularly go through and refill to add to albums for wheats and Lincolns. Usually twice a month I'll either do a box of nickels or dimes and build those albums too.
CWR are hit or miss. But I had a huge hit with halves in CWR last week. And I have gotten solid 90% rolls of dimes also. So they are worth the skunks that are often.
I only do halves so the CWR that I get are 99.999% of the time someone's dump. I had one day where I got a roll and a half of all silver out of a roll and a half but that was it with CWR. I still go for them though, because there is a chance you could get a collection.
Probably an average of $5-10 in pennies, $10-$20 in nickels, occasionally some dimes, and whatever halves I can get from the banks I visit.
I used to solely hunt for wheats and errors. I used to pick up a box of cents a month. I started sorting them by day and now have a whole bunch of dated rolls to go through. I have not gotten any boxes of cents recently, although I would like to get some of the 2017p's. most recently I started hunting for silver and older dated nickels (pre '67, no 64). I will generally ask for 2 rolls of quarters, 2 rolls of dimes and 5 of nickels. Hunt through those and turn them in. I found my first two silver dimes this week. No luck with any other silver. When I cash out the change I want to ask for $1 bills to start hunting through those but haven't gotten the nerve to ask for that yet. Some of the girls have such a hateful face when I cash in my measly $40. I don't see how you guys do the 5-10 boxes a week. Kudos.
I think we all fall in to a bit of both worlds. I enjoy the hobby but at times I think we all question our obsession with it. Yes, if you have not considered it an obsession, at one point in your walk through this hobby, YOU WILL! No matter if it's 10 boxes a week obsession or $40 multiple denominations, multiple times a week. It's better than smoking (which I used to do, and it's better than drinking, which I currently am. Now wait a minute, can you really give advice about obsession when you're drinking and sorting coins into data bases? Hmmmmmm) It's fun any way you look at it! Enjoy!!!
Teller trays yesterday was a skunk. But then at one of my source banks for boxed halves, the teller said her coin machine bag was full at $1000. She said it took a long time to fill, so I bought it hoping it wasn't full of dumped coins. Got home last night and am rolling them as I go because my dump bank only takes them that way. 15 rolls into the bag and I have found 6 silvers. Going metal detecting today at an old company picnic ground, my latest obsession in my efforts to find older coins. Brand new at it and so far a few tries at local parks have only yielded modern coins but I'm still learning the sport.
I do a box of nickels a month. Just spare time stuff. I have filled two Jefferson nickel album sets so far. I occasionally runs across a buffalo nickel or two, but very infrequently.

I've been on a Nickel kick for the past month or so... probably between 40-80 rolls a week. I also search FRB and BB straps so my time is split between coin and paper. 5-10 straps per week I'd say. But once I finish my Jefferson books I'll probably shift that workload into either halfs or Cents, or go to all strap searching.
I speed sort 1 to 2 $50.00 bags of cents, at least 1 and sometimes 2 (if available in local banks) filled bags of halves; and always 5 boxes of nickels. I do not take the time to examine every coin for errors. I look for silver and certain dates or mint marks. Bags of quarters occasionally produce a few silver coins when available.
Gosh... i have abandoned my cents and roll searching. I can not remember the last time I searched a roll. I have been taken over by ancient coins!! I have a desk full of all sorts of cents, most of which need to be rolled up and deposited in the bank and some of which I would like to give away. And there are rolls I haven't even opened yet. i need an extra two pair of hands and a half dozen more non-sleeping hours in each day. I will get it done. I remember there is someone hankering for some "s" mint cents and I have quite a few I mean to part with. Someone please give me a tickle in 10 days or so if I haven't yet posted a cent giveaway.
I just worked out a deal today with my Main bank. They said as long as I paid the fee of $5 per box to transfer the coins to the bank and as long as I don't bring them back to their bank to cash back in, they will let me get $1,000 worth every Thursday. I go through $25-$100 a week in pennies. I keep all copper.
