You are correct...unfortunately you are off by about 10 years for the error you are referring to. All 1988 LMCs are WAMS. WAMS and CAMS are 1992 & 1998-2000 LMCs. Check this link out for more info http://lincolncentresource.com/wideams.html
Not sure why they mention the wide AM on this one as ALL 1988 LMC have a wide AM. Here is some info on the FS-901 that is also mentioned on the slab you posted a picture of. This one is a well known error and can be valuable. You didn't mention the FS-901 in your 1st post. Info on FS-901 a Transitional error. http://lincolncentresource.com/Featured/1988RDV6.html
No problem buddy thank you I'm a perfectionist that's all I say and then I just like to get a second and third opinion but the maven comes out of me
Hey can you give me any ideas on how to keep it as red as can be because I touched it it's in a sleeve but I'm afraid that the oil for my handgun on it should I wash it with soap and water or just leave it alone
Hmm..gun oil. Not sure if a quick dip in acetone will remove that or not. Someone else may be able to answer better. As for keeping it red as can, be an Air-Tite would be perfect for this. Can we see a close-up of the "FG" just to the right of the memorial on the reverse?
A little too blurry to tell. This error needs a really clear close shot of the initials in order for us to tell if it is an FS-901 or not.
Okay second set closer, but still a little fuzzy...from what I am seeing it is not an FS-901. Just a normal 1988 LMC in very nice condition
