I accidentally lowballed the dealer (I did not think it was worth anything more) and made this coin applicable for this category. It just sold for $125. I will give the dealer $25 the next time I see him.
This is a recent pickup made on a whim while I was watching an unattributed S-117 Large Cent from the same seller. I grew up glued to every launch from Gemini 4 on through the end of the Apollo Program. At $21.50, I just couldn't pass it up.
The area you're referring to on a buffalo nickel is an area on some subject to clashes.... so that's what you maybe be seeing.
I paid $7 out of pocket. Though my dad traded the AU 1877 CC quarter he got for $25 (at the beginning of this thread) for this coin. The trade was $20 short, so I threw in an AU 1920 Buffalo nickel and $7. So this coin in total was purchased for $45.
Not sure if I'm posting this right but just have to ask what is this coin? Was looking close and still could not tell what kind of coin this is. It was posted by CC Fanetic. Thank you
I know this is hard to believe, but the seller listed this on eBay for $29 bin. I sent it off and it came back (undergraded) from PCGS VF30. Still, I couldn't be happier. Next it's probably going to CAC. Also, it's a WB-103 RPD. Here is the seller's pic, and below that is mine.
This seller has them properly labeled as fakes. I hope the buyer does the same. But they are good enough to be used by less honest dealers and lawyers to scam the gullible. Lawyers, of course, would do it legally.
