Picked this up today for the 7070. Seller had it marked as XF, but after looking at Photo Grade I'm leaning towards VF. Either way I like it and it fits the Dansco's "motif".

So I was wandering what grade it might be. From some eyes that have seen more of these than I.

And as usual, she looks a little better in hand than the pics.
    Thanks

    40. The obverse looks 45, but, the reverse holds it back. Nice coin to fill an album.

Agreed, the lowest grade side is the one that determines the grade. Luckily it's the reverse in this case, the obverse is usually the side that suffers.

If you sent it in I think it would be a 35 but a 40 wouldn't surprise me

I am in the VF 35 camp. I think the reverse is better.
Too many scratches on the obverse for me.
But then again I graduated in the top 40% of the Ed Wood School of Grading.

I love the crust on both sides of the coin, especially the gold surrounding IGWT.

    Great pick up & congrats!

PS - don't get hung up on a grading number that changes from time to time. Enjoy the coin & it's history.
