Found this old gal for $50. Can anyone tell me why this will pay off 10 fold?

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

I see some MD on the obverse and possibly a clash on the reverse.

I've had my nose stuck in the Cherrypickers Guide for a while now. I didn't have it with me at the coin shop, but I knew what this was as soon as I saw it. FS-101, DDO and off-center reverse die clash. The DDO is very light and can barely be seen on the BE in LIBERTY. Yes it has Longacre doubling as well, which is common.

Taking the time to learn varieties, and then to Remember them!! I'm impressed, congrats.

Nice pickup - congrats. I have actually picked up the cherry picker guide at my local shop - just a couple of times. They don't mind cherry picking - brings people back and buying from them. Always an enjoyable trip to local shop.

Yeah it's in the for-sale section raw but will be a part of my next PCGS submission within a week if it doesn't sell.

Yeah but my rules make it harder. In order to learn more about different types, I have to build my free set by flipping and selling ones of the same type. So... I can only use the funds made on this Indian Cent to buy another Indian Cent of the same type.

ahhhh missed that part of the challenge.

It's definitely fun learning about all the different types, I'm about 10 coins into my type set and having a blast learning about types that just a few months ago I'd pass by. Unfortunately the one thing all series have in common for me is I have expensive tastes that I can't afford :D

I finally found my Peace Dollar keeper this week, haven't been this excited to receive a coin in a long time and I'm not a Peace Dollar fan at all. Will do a GTG when I get it.

I'm going to have a hell of a time flipping seated dollars and classic/draped bust large cents to be able to attain a free XF one...

Yes definitely. I've had a hell of a time finding anything close to a price I'd be comfortable pulling the trigger on for anything seated or earlier in any denomination. Seems like tough to find bargains but I'm sure they're out there and if they are I'm sure you'll find them working your magic.

I almosttttt pulled the trigger on a seated half dime tonight on Heritage but something about the coin seemed off and I passed.
