Another box of skunked dimes. Nickels were fun I was spoiled by them. Going to try for some CWR soon.

Dimes were a bust. PROBABLY will cash them in.
Pennies still give a nice one every now and then.
Got a much better 1956D than I had but it has a stain on it.
When I'm out today I'm going to acquire some acetone and see what it does for this nickel.

After searching through only 22,800 Lincolns, I found a 2000 WAM.
And of course it has corrosion on the obverse.

So far I can't see Acetone doing anything to Nickels.
Pennies if left for a while get a little brighter.
Upgraded several pennies. Maybe one nickel.
Got a 1999 France 5 Euro Cent in a nickel roll.
Going to take 5 penny and 5 nickel rolls to a bank
In Livingston tomorrow since I have to go up there anyhow.

Turns out that I ain't going to Livingston. So I'll do all the rest of the rolls and go through the drive through at the bank on Saturday. Leaving a nickel in acetone overnight. Perhaps it will dissolve it but probably not. It isn't one I have to have anyhow.

    Hi,
I've been following this thread for a while and decided to post some of my latest results...$25 cents = 3 wheat earliest 44. $12 nickels = absolutely nothing. The only positive I had recently was a 68 JFK in the teller tray.

Went to another branch to see if the dimes were from the same lot.

    50¢ Cwr pennies: skunk
    $4 CWR nickels: skunk
    $100 mwr dimes: skunk

Hope some more silver dimes show up.

4 banks had $11.50 in halves...All Cu-Ni clad. My luck has been lacking lately :shifty:

10 dollars in halves, skunked. Think I might start trying my luck with small dollar coins. I've found a wide date SBA before.

I think ultimately you'll have better luck with halves - If you can get them in decent numbers. I've pulled 7 wide rim SBA's in my searches. Not sure on the value of those, but I've definitely found more $$ worth when it comes to silver halves.

It's been pretty slow in pennies and nickels.
Found a way better 1940P but it had some goop on part of the date up about a half inch and over to the head.
Soap and water and a toothbrush got it clean. But it isn't as lustrous where the goop was. Still better is better.
Gonna do the rest of the rolls in the morning. About to finish a book and hit the sack.

Persistence paid off today! Of 3 banks, 1 had $80 in MWR halves. Of course, I bought them all. I found 2 Cu-Ni clad proofs and 1, '67, so I'm pleased! :)

    HH all

It's up in the air whether I or my Sister is going to the bank.
No, it's me. Got some chores to do out in the world.
I can almost see well enough to go look at some more coins.

I searched my first $25 box of pennies last night, and it didn't disappoint!

I found several wheat pennies, with dates ranging from 1917 to 1957

    Some 2017-Ps

Several nice pennies from the 60's

1961 and 1962 proofs! These are by far my favorite penny finds so far

I also searched 15 nickel rolls and 17 half dollar rolls, and this is all I found. I guess it's better than nothing but I was hoping for some silver!

Lastly, I found this 1985 penny with what appears to be bubbles on the surface. Maybe someone more knowledgeable about errors could tell me if that's what this is?

Nice finds! The "bubbles" you see on the '85 cent are also called blisters. Blisters are common on '83 and up copper platted zinc cents ("zincolns"). The blistering is caused by the copper cladding separating from the zinc center of the planchet. This not considered a mint error and does not have any value above 1 cent. Keep posting your CRH finds, happy hunting!

I've got about 1/4 of a Folger's can filled will Canadian coin. I've never been to Canada so I figure when I fill it up, that will come close to paying for the gas for my drive... I wonder if they have Coinstar machines in Canada.
