I must have you guys convinced, that im the master of good deals. Yes, i enjoy a great buy as much as the next collector. There IS an art and a strategy behind it for sure. I have a whole artillery of different tactics i use. Note to self: I should start a thread on this topic one day. Anyone else care 2 guess?? Ill post the reveal here in a couple 2 hours. @IBetASilverDollar @jtlee321 @C-B-D
Ok, i better post the reveal as ive already had 3 cervezas, working on #4. The winner is............ @baseball21 I paid $110 for this coin, which is like 4x bid! See, im not ALWAYS a master negotiator !! I got hook, line and sinkered on this one!! Who can say other? Well, there really isnt another known example to compare it to.
This is the first coin I held in my hand, at the Worlds Fair of Money,These are cell pics, I hope they do ok. Auction results at an MS63, 52$ to over 200$ This coin sold at the Worlds fair of Money, I looked for it on Saturday, I know the asking price, I do not know what the sold price was.
So the asking price is what we'll go with. Asking $250 Although, I wouldn't pay over $125, as it's only (very nicely) toned on the reverse.
Having been at similar shows, dealers sometimes have crazy prices on items like this. I will go with $500 (personally I would value it at $150-$225)
