Very nice indeed, I can't say I have seen any SBA Error before. With a small Series, and relatively low mintage. Should make these a little harder to obtain. Thanks for sharing them.
Hey Tyler.. do you know what a Clipped Error is? The coin was not actually clipped at all. On the sheet when the Blanks are being punched out there are many that are cut out correctly. But sometimes the sheet will shift and when the next blanks are going to be cut they accidently cut an area that was already punched out... understand?
So the coin did not have a part of it clipped off at all! The missing part is part of another complete coin. Here is a diagram on how different clips are formed. The white circles are full punched out blanks and the dark incomplete circles are the blanks that were punched out during the shift. Only the ragged, straight, corner and edge clips are formed at the ends or sides of the sheet.
Yeah I knew it had to do with something when the blanks get punched. The machine cut the spot already and it cuts the rest off as a coin in that same area. Kinda like this. But can the blanks themselves ever get cut twice? Maybe it got caught under the sheet and got drug back over or something? That's the only thing I don't know
