Here's another one. I went to buy a case for my tablet on eBay and thought the price was fair. I had to pick a color for the case and as soon as I did this the price went up. I checked all the colors and the same thing happened with each color. Pick a color and the price goes up. cute trick.
Yeah I've had the same happen to me. I'm sure their excuse could be "the cheaper color is now out of stock." Right. Where was the item located btw? I find that stuff to be more common with items of Asian origin.
Problem buyers can come in many different types. Excessively demanding, chronic returners, ones that leave neutrals and never communicate that there was a problem, etc. The list goes on and on. But THIS guy is NOT just an unreasonable or demanding buyer. He's a flat out lying, stealing crook.
My favorite of late has been the star ratings. If you don't have the wearwithall to read a description you shouldn't feel you have the right to click anything other than 5 stars. Any and all defects or points of interest are in the description. Always. Don't make it look like I'm being dishonest because you don't have the patience to read. Also, shipping costs? Cmon. If you don't like what it costs to ship don't buy it. We have to ship that way to protect the merchandise and ourselves. It makes building shipping into the cost, separating the numbers outside of eBay and making it "fast and free" more enticing.
The ones that always try and get a discount after the item is delivered are on my favorite pet peeves. Completely agree that this guy is next level though. On the bright side at least he was very sloppy and dumb about how he did it.
Those are some crackhead games right there. A friend that runs a pawn shop jokes about how they do that all the time. "Hey man, remember me? You bought um my necklace yesterday for $200. Think I can get another $20? I think it was worth more than $200." Nope.
Pretty much. I always believe that no one should offer partial refunds for eBay, it just encourages it. Just accept a return, a lot of those types disappear quickly if you offer a return but no partial refund
Definitely. I even charge a restocking fee if the item comes back in packaging different than what I shipped it to them in. I don't want to have to pull the loupe out and make sure there wasn't a switch involved in the purchasing plan. It hasn't been an issue since I haven't been asked to process a return or asked for a partial refund, but that's me being overly proactive rather than having to deal with being reactive.
Yeah that's what happened. If I would have had his adress I probably would have shipped him a edit in a box for free.
The worst part with that is I'm certain that that 'coin' is really a replica miniature that have like $3 in gold in them yet someone has bid on it at $120
And is the very predictable result of many years of telling people, particularly children, their individual needs, wants, feelings, desires, emotions, etc, etc are paramount. May the Golden Rule rest in peace....
I think he means the crooks REAL name. I also have his mailing address, even though it's just a P.O. box.
