Hoe can you tell? For my knowledge so I'm not wasting your guys time. Thank you. They were saying 68 could be an error. Again not questioning you guys i am just curious.
Perhaps you are thinking of a no "S" proof dime? Yours is most definitely a circulation strike Philadelphia dime. Easy way to tell, besides the circulation wear, is that the rims on your dime are not sharp. Proof coins have sharp rimes. Your coin is one of 424,470,400 minted in Philly that year.
Who is "they"? What you need to do is get a copy of the Red Book and start learning about the minting process. Chris
The difference between people interested in coins and wanting to read up and learn about it are one to one thousand, compared to people who see one of these phony videos on YT and just think their circulated business strike is going to be worth thousands of dollars and don't care about the hobby or learning anything.
Who is "they", and what are these videos I hear people referring to? I see no videos here. And, as mentioned by everyone else, that is a regular business strike 1968 Philadelphia dime struck for circulation, which would of course not have a mintmark.
These people that produce them.........they know one thousand words? I thought they use the videos because they can't spell. Chris
