The note itself was acquired raw from an abandoned Safe Deposit Box auction in Nevada. First stop was authentication - because if it was fake, the whole process falls apart.

Verified signature, authenticated it - and then had it sent in for grading. All one long process - thanks to my LCS for making it happen (Americana Rare Coin!)

    Curiosity question.
Isn't Wynn's signature like graffiti, lowering the note's paper money collecting value value?

Probably have to wait until it's sold to tell that.

Possibly, but I'm willing to bet the value added for Las Vegas memorabilia collectors outweighs the value lost for note collectors.

Pawn Stars would probably love to have this on their show, regardless of if you sell it to them or not.

    That's a KILLER PIECE !!
    Totally love it :)

I was living across the street, when Wynn came to Atlantic City and built the original Golden Nugget. He was loved by most everyone here and he built an amazing empire . He finally got tired of the BS over regulations by the casino control commission in NJ and took his cash from the sale of the GN and headed back to Vegas where he shined .
I can imagine a very large following that would love that piece in their collection .

    CONGRATS on a great find !! :)

Man, he must've used a truly ginormous fountain pen to sign that building! :nailbiting:

ion beam, bombard the coin with a radioactive isotope in a coded pattern. The small group of atoms become embedded into the surface of the coin but would not be visible but could could probably still be read with the right equipment.
