Morgan. To be or not to be? - Fake? Why?

    Thank-you for your comments. I have taken some (hurried) shots of the coin in question alongside a 'genuine' Morgan Dollar (for comparison) and as you suggest there are a number of reasons to 'detect' the 'copy'.
    I did (what you said) 'drop' them and they did have a distinctly different 'ring'.
    I am always learning, and I have taken on board your, (and everyone else's) advice.

    Those are some huge rims on that Morgan. Almost big enough to put on a car!

    Glad to help!
    Anything we can do to help eliminate fakes being passed off as genuine is good for all people involved in the LEGITIMATE side of our coin hobby.
