See, and I originally was going to go $425-$450.... I'll try and get something up by morning. Seeing as I haven't sold a single coin, it'll have to be something I bought (again).
We'll call this 1925 Lexington Commemorative "MS Details - Cleaned - Questionable Color" The low MS range on Numismedia and PCGS puts this around $90 2 sets of photos so you can see the coin for what it is
I know, and i think thats part of why i cant win a round. I understand people are busy and cant search thru auction archives all day 2 find a worthy coin, but this is getting ridiculous. Either that, or im just a sore loser looking 4 an excuse $35
@Lehigh96 created the original thread that inspired this one. By the way, I think an AT/problem coin is also helpful. We can still learn about premiums or discounts.
I will say someone paid $75 for this, but to me that would be too high (since AT and cleaned is worse than just AT, and it isn't even attractive AT...to me the value would be closer to $30-$35).
That didn't take long. I'm calling this as the winner. I paid $62.50 for it. I bought it because even though it's a problem coin, I do like it. It also bumped me to free shipping and a reduction in all buyer's premiums, so in effect, after the discounts, it cost me about $10. I like your guess if I ever sell it, and I do think it's pretty. The second photo is closest to actual, it's got a light golden hue to to it, with maroon to blue toning. It's more pleasant in hand.
This one sold fairly recently. Not my coin. CDN is $3700. PCGS pop is 82 in this grade, 37 higher. At NGC the pop is 71 in this grade, with 87 higher. Only 11 in this grade are CAC'd. This is not one if those, of course.
that coin is awesome. Will own a Morgan proof someday that one would be fine by me! edit: upping it to $4,350 final answer
