I found my first circulated 2017P penny (because I leave in Colorado we not have them to often) then I noticed that it has a defective plating on the overse. This coin only being a few months in circulation to be worn out. It worth to save it besides that is a 17 P?

It prolly saw some soda in a cup holder.
About a roll, or two of D's. Not a P though.
    Only took 7 months,
I waited over a year, to get my first example of a 2010.

What do you mean "no"? When any 2017P is unique because this year will be the only one to have the P stamped on them

What is the mintage supposed to be for these P cents?

    P-Mint Cents Change

2017-dated circulating cents from the U.S. Mint facility at Philadelphia include a ‘P’ mint mark for the first time in history. This is a one-year-only embellishment, added as a part of the Mint’s celebration of its 225th anniversary. These P-cents are not rare by any means, with a combined 1.1828 billion made through the first three months of this year.
