Hey guys I'm new to the coin hunting I've been playing with it for about a month or so. And I've come across a 1982 copper small date but I get confused in those areas. I'm trying to figure out which one are the valuable ones I appreciate any help thank you.I also have a 1982 sm. Date Zinc.
You have to look for the Denver small date copper. Not philly, Philadelphia has the copper version on record, Denver would have a D right below the date. Denver was the only mint that didn't produce the copper version of this coin.
Here you have a link where you can learn something about pennies http://lincolncentsonline.com/rarevarieties.html

Reading comprehension, Willy... reading comprehension. It's very unbecoming to insult someone simply because you fail to understand what they've said. Now, just to clarify and make this very, very easy.... The common types... http://www.lincolncentresource.com/smalldates/1982.html And an example of what Tyler was attempting to point out.. http://www.numismaticnews.net/article/rare-1982-d-small-date-copper-found
I didn't even know about this variety until someone posted about it. Something to watch for. It's cool that new stuff is still being found.
Right....still only one of these found that I know of...I,ll always keep an open eye for one of these gems. Wonder if some mint employee was clcaning the deck and found a bronze planchet, then just tossed it in with the zincs??? This coin is offered by Stacks and Bowers and available at the World's fair of Money at auction. It's pic. is on the inside front cover of The Numismatist, July issue.
He just mad at me. It's my fault for giving him a hard time about something silly. Didn't mean for him to hate me because of it but it's okay. I deserve it I guess haha.
I consider myself a maven at 1982 pennies D small D weights Etc I've researched them for over 2 years on my own
