I don't know what circa your feed finger are from. They look like they were made for silver dollars. Please refer to Video in previous post.
I don't see how you can get there from that. You're convinced that it did get there from that, so I'm going to leave this one alone. Enjoy.
Here it what Wire cutters do to a coin. They don't roll the metal up into a curl, and they don't shear metal off the edge.
https://hubpages.com/games-hobbies/THE-RARE-FEEDER-FINGER-ERROR-COIN Man. Strange how he isn't he only one who thinks it's feeder finger. I'm with @alurid on this one
If this is a feeder finger damaged coin it's also a woody ha. I wonder how rare that would be considered
@alurid i think I understand how to spot it. Feeder finger error pushes metal off to the side, wire cutter makes a clean cut, no metal pushed or built up on the sides of the affected area. Feeder finger probably pushed the metal off to the side as where I see when I cut the coin with a wire cutter, no metal is left behind unless i move the wire cutters as I am cutting it.
Please don't worry about me. I have no False Hope. This is not my first time on this pony ride were everyone that post tries to cut down and tell me what my coin is not. It happened once before and all six of them were Wrong. Its called Bandwagon Metality. And i had a knot in my stomach before I did this post because of that. If you read my OP I did not ask if anyone thought this was an error or not. I thank you for your psudo-concern. And remember if you close one eye you can see your nose.
Ive noticed that there are a lot of different kinds of damage due to finger feeder. It's actually quiet interesting. there are feeder fingers out there where the die struck the feeder finger it's self. Thanks Feeder fingers go really fast and have a lot of force. Of course it can damage a coin.@alurid for opening my brain
Are you by chance going to send this in to anyone to have it looked at? It would be awesome to see what a professional grading company would think! I kind of want to send my coin in, I mean it is a semi key date, it is a woody and it looks like it could be finger feeder too lol that's a lot to say and it's in remarkable shape, looks like gold with purple stripes, full wheat stalks. Weighs 2.9. Like holy cow. I even got that coin from someone here, I wonder if he even had a clue what it was because my first guess was damaged and cleaned, but now that you showed your coin off, I remembered I had a coin like that( at that moment I realized it was a woody thanks to you, just recently learned about improper mixture of metals) Would be awesome to see it represented on a website for showing errors for education!
