Your right i hate when that happens

  9. This is gonna sound horrible, but I slice a hole in the top of a ketchup packet and slide the penny in for a day or two....Only if the coin is FUBAR to begin with though...which that one is...after all the grime is ate off by the ketchup, boiled egg yolks chopped up in an airtight bag will tone the copper a brownish color again...

Gee, all this time, I thought that S/D referred to the mintmark.

I don't think it matters to clean something that will be worth .01 cent before cleaning and .01 cent after cleaning. You will spend more money cleaning than what the coin is worth.

Umm... there's nothing wrong with what he said, Willy. Making things up as one goes along helps no one.

I think that's what you ought to do with it. Either that, or spend it, provided anybody will take it.

Sounds like hash browns would be a better thing to put in.

Nothing you could do with that coin would either help it or hurt it. It's beyond help. I would say it's a spender, but it's probably too bad for that. I found its mate at the last Coinstar I looked at--and left it where it was!
