Nice thread; glad you started it. I'd not looked at shared orders before. Can be a bit addictive. Saw a curious one though: 1854-O 50C Arrows, No Service/Not Holdered. What was with the coin to get a zip? Cal
Easily a newbie. Probably a new member from here asking if their 44 steel was real. Then didnt like the answers. Then posted about their "error" 1952 cent and everyone said damage. Then sent both to PCGS cause nobody here knows anything apparently. And they probably still believe they have the real thing. Just thought of something, maybe we should start charging for answering newbie questions. Say maybe half of what PCGS just charged this poor sap???
I once had a no service from PCGS for a bent seated liberty dollar. Apparently it wouldn't stay in the gasket or fit without touching the plastic. Could be that...
One thing I wish they would show is the type of submission: raw vs regrade/reconsideration vs cross-over. And for the latter two, show the original grade. Probably concerned about folks mining their data. Cal
They'd never do that or show cross-overs other then the success percentage, anything more is free advertising for the other guys. What was the code on it? Could have been something like CBD mentioned or they may have selected not to holder details coins on the submission.
There was no code. The whole line is: 2 1 84316290 6280 1854-O 50C Arrows No Service/Not Holdered USA Link is below. Cal link: https://www.pcgs.com/Membership/sharedorder.aspx?OrderNo=21248707&Year=2017&Month=7
