Lol just posted earlier today that PCGS received my coins 6/27 and I had them in hand last week Friday already. Also economy no frills. In comparison I finally got my NGC order in hand the day before that I sent to them about a month earlier.
I think business (?). It says "Genuine - AU Details (92 - Cleaned)". I don't remember seeing cleaning marks, but maybe it's there. Maybe I'll submit it to NGC for a second opinion sometime later.
Don't forget show dates don't count in the time. On the plus side they do ship priority mail or express depending on the value so you should have it by the end of the week instead of waiting a week or two for registered
Dang it. I was pulling for you. But I always picture them laughing about additional research over their lunch breaks.
I definitely like how PCGS ships it back better. I usually get those back 2 days after it ships where NGC for whatever reason for me seems to take a minimum of 10 days like it's traveling on horse back. What was the PCGS number they show for the Columbian?
Haven't you heard? Registered mail IS horseback. And it's called that because the horse is walking backward, on only his front hooves.
My latest submission to the folks in Newport Beach left me pretty sour. Coin was received on 4/18 as part of a four piece crossover order. All four were held in accurately attributed NGC holders. Coin is returned on 5/30, improperly attributed (wrong denomination). It took nearly two weeks for them to agree to a mechanical error resubmission, which they received on 6/15. Item shipped out on 7/21, and the Post Office attempted delivery yesterday while I was out. I know everyone is human, and issues happen, but to take a coin out of a holder that has the information correct and then get it wrong, spend two weeks dragging your feet, and then another five weeks fixing it - that's poor service. To make matters worse, every phone call during the process left me feeling less and less confident in the situation. I have never been impressed with their front-line customer service.
