    No, it's ejection/mechanical doubling.

    Very common for Dimes and Quarters in that era.

    This. Sorry, but you can tell by the way the Mint Mark appears more smeared at the bottom rather than an exact duplicate of it shifted slightly.

    I was looking at the top of the primary D.
    It has what could be part of an almost completely separate D. Look close to the center of the top of primary mm. Looks like the bottom left corner of a D.
