Couple different things I think; 1. People are still waiting to see if they are going to get them - or - have their order canceled 2. Everyone is dumping them at the same time I think this would be a great time to buy on ebay if you want one and the seller looks legit. Two months from now lets see where the prices are. If gold keeps going up it cannot hurt the value of these coins.
My FEDX delivery just came and I opened the box to make sure there was no damage and it is perfect. Now the decision do I send it for grading?
This may be a bit controversial to say on this forum. But, if you ordered these coins and didn't open the package to look at the coin(s), then you may want to ask your self if you are a collector or not. That is given the assumption that you could only order one of each.
I can't wait, either. I went home at lunch and picked up my door tag. FedEx, here I come (... after work.. boooo..)!
Got mine today also. When I checked Friday, there was no indication they'd been shipped yet. They were both our of the well in the case, but not damaged. The padded inserts they included with the MW and AA coins were not included with these. They're really magnificent.
" if you ordered these coins and didn't open the package to look at the coin(s), then you may want to ask your self if you are a collector or not." I haven't decided to open them. Actually I still haven't opeend my MW and AA - BUT, I am planning on keeping all of them as a collector. I will open them eventually - maybe it's just balancing the pleasure of treasure with the pain of procrastination!!!
Thought I would let everyone know about a e-mail I received from a company that I do business with on occasion. They are currently purchasing proof and uncirulated Liberties for $550 if you are lucky enought to have them and will call them by Thursday . Apparently they did not get all they wanted lol. The proofs 70 in the NGC are listed at $899 with 3 available. I am not endorsing or soliciting for this company. Though some might be interested .
They are really-really nice! My Unc. was floating as well but no damage was done. All those lucky enough to get one will enjoy how nice these look. Good Luck to all of those still waiting!
They have them slabbed already? Darn ..you must be talking about Shop at home ....lol. Tell Robbie and Skipper hello for me. $550 is to low ..these have real growth potential if you have time to wait it out. Patience will have it's rewards.
My UNC was also floating loose in the box, no damage done and these coins are awesome. Now they will all be off to get PCGS grading and a First Strike label. Also I agree prices could slowly go up from here as more see these coins. Eventually a four coins set of the Liberty Spouse coins will be something to see, I think that will be a nice mini set.
I'm pretty sure both of my coins are 70's / no worst then a 69 I like the uncirculated coin more because it looks more like a coin from the Jeff era.The proof is more elegant and they could not produce a proof that nice back then with the old machines
I received the MS + PF on Friday. They were mailed to NGC yesterday. I'll be shocked if they don't both come back as 70's. They are outstanding. The proof coin was, however, floating freely within it's display case upon arrival. It was still in it's capsule and suffered no damage though.
Got mine yesterday. It's almost a sin to take these coins out of their mint packaging and sending the off to be graded....they look perfect!!
The MW and AA coins each had a sheet of some kind of foam/plastic padding inside the case that seemed to be designed to keep the capsule from rattling around in the case if it became dislodged. It didn't keep the coins in the well, but it did seem to keep them from banging around. I thought it was a good idea. I'm surprised they discontinued it. These coins are probably not replaceable by the mint if they're damaged.
Well well... I'm in stock and reserved for the jefferson spouse (Unc) when I ordered at 6:00 pm on the first day! And you can still buy it on the website!
