Nice coins Mat and others. I like them all. I do not have a coin of Henry III but here is my Edward I.

Well don @Mat ! Great foray into the Pennies! They look great.

I am VERY light in the Medieval area... I am REALLY trying to tread "lightly" here, and I do not want Mr @FitzNigel to go "dark" on me! :D :D :D (could not resist...I grew up in an earlier generation where we were TAUGHT / Tested / Ingrained with that Evil name...) :D

    Can I toss out a THREE-PENCE?

Mat's postings of his english medieval coins finally got me around to imaging the few that I have.

Here they are - and I am hoping I got the attributions right!

    ENGLAND. Henry VI, 1422-1461 AD.
AR Groat, Annulet issue, Calais i. m. pierced cross.
Obv: Crowned bust facing in tressure
Rev: Long cross with three pellets in each angle.
    S.1836.

Another groat of Henry VI, this one minted at London.

Happy if anybody corrects/improves the attribution:)

Nice coins all. I need to get some camera work done so I can join in the fun with you guys. Maybe later today I can shoot a couple. In the meantime here is a sampler.
We have a penny of John. I don't have time right now but will add the attribution a little later. John AR Penny 1199 to 1216 S 1351.jpg

I like them too. There is enough variety to keep one busy for years. I'm trying to collect SC pennies by mint more than by ruler though I still need a Richard I. Some mints don't show up all that often at all.

I'd love to do a project like that - or track down each of the monikers from a particular mint. But I have too many interests to get focused, and not enough spending money...

I know what you mean. It's a slow process for sure.
