OK, here's the quick reveal. I got this coin for about $32. The seller's puffery made it worth the price!
I don't know if I call it "MS65;" the images are indicative of a maybe-circulated coin. It'd have to be at the very top of 65 to be worth the money quoted on the flip. What it is, though, is what looks to be a revision/clarification of VAM-2BJ, noted by the circular die crack at the bottom of the neck and the clear collar clashing on the reverse. I expect to see a die gouge below the L in LIBERTY on this one (which I don't) and VAMworld shows that collar clash much less prominent than it is here. As a service to VAMming it'd be worth spending a few bucks to shuffle it off to @messydesk for attribution and imaging - the details noted above strongly clarify the variety, and it's worth noting whether the marks at ER are scratches or cracks. http://www.vamworld.com/1922-D+VAM-2BJ1
Hmmm, I'm not a VAMer so I'll be curious what @messydesk has to say. Anything beyond enjoying the MS65 puffery for $32 will be a bonus! Thanks @SuperDave!
If it's uncirculated, you did OK. No idea if it's common or rare, but there's not enough demand for it to matter.
