price of morgan silver dollar 1881s

    Someone want to sell to me Morgan like that for 40$. It look to me that the coin was cleaned. It was so beautiful.
    What do you think?

    avi - if the coin you are asking about is an 1881-S Morgan dollar and you think it has been cleaned, then no, it is not worth $40.

    GDJMSP beat me to it. If it has boviously been cleaned I think I would pay less that $20 for it.

    for an 81-s morgan to be worth $40 it needs to be certified as MS 64 by PCGS or NGC. MS 63's are worth about 30 and 65's are 100.
