This had slid back to Page 2 and sinking, so let's wake up the wakeup thread and bump 'er back up into the sunlight! :)

This post is a free entry in the drawing for @Cheech9712.

If anyone lacks the ability to post pictures or links, just LMK, and I'll give you one free chance.

(Those who do post threads with pictures and link them here will of course get up to three chances, as mentioned earlier: one entry per thread posted.)

I didn't remember the format, cause I'm over 70 and fading fast. I have 100's (or 1000's) of 17th or 19th century darksides... I'll try a little later to get the photos. I am unable to download anything, sorry. I don;t understand what I need to do .. I choose the file that it is kept in, but it doesn't get to be an insert(doesn't take) and it's 1.9 MB.

If you want an entry, then this is your free entry, though the prize coins you might win here are likely be pretty unexciting to someone with as many earlier pieces as you mention.

OK, I turned my ad blocker off so I'll try to post an image .. no workee. The black rectangle shows the image location, but there is no "post", only a button for "close". Well, I guess it worked! It's my icon.

And here's the 3rd. I thought maybe to post some weird ones .. the bowl has an 1892 Canada Vicky large cent as the bottom that I sold to a Toronto friend for cost.

@Bill in Burl - I can see those!

    They're awesome, too.

If you look, when you've uploaded pictures, there is an option to post them full-sized instead of thumbnailed.

Great contest! After this one, why don't you stir up the US forum? It could use a boost.

@Bill in Burl Nice coins!! I see them, but do not see a link to a new post about them. Did you make a new thread in the world coin forum? If so post a link to those threads.

I think maybe he's still learning. Has the picture posting part down, now, anyway.

We'll give him one free entry as I promised above (when I thought he might be unable to post pictures or links), but if he can post separate threads and link them here as the guidelines specify, then he may have up to three entries total, as specified in the introduction post (OP).

I am unable to start a thread with any photo attached of items that I have already saved on my computer. I'll just watch from afar at your contest and not join in. The only way that I was able to get my above photos in was turning off all my adblocker programs, but that evidently doesn't work for me now. I have no problem posting on other sites with "inserts" but, on yours, the dark rectangular box to choose image doesn't allow me to post

You are as kind as wise. I think it best to omit me. Others would would enjoy your kindness 10 fold. Thanks for your thoughtfulness.

    Bill,

There is a limit on how large a file you can upload to cointalk. I can't remember what it is but I noticed your smaller images worked. I always save a 1000 pixel wide version of my photos for posting online. Most image software including paint can create reduced size photos. Hope this helps.

Only a few days left...Get your entries in.

Good luck to all that have entered.

(Figured I'd give this thread a bump)
