I hate hate HATE eBay sellers who can't be bothered to put the words from the slab label SOMEWHERE in their freaking listing. Who knows how long this has been listed over and over and over as a $5 BIN. That I needed for my "50 state (51 or 56 coin) sample (et al) slab set". Oregon falls! Needed: Idaho (ID) Utah (UT) Washington (WA) Wyoming (WY) American Samoa (AS) Guam (GU) Northern Marianas (MP) US Virgin Islands (VI) It can say sample, it can say collectors society, it can say Baltimore Show - anything @Davidschwager will accept for his book. It can be the 50 state quarters, ATB, ATB 5Oz, I'm not fussy. It can be any sonic sealed slab company including basements (heck those are more fun). I feel so much better having spewed my rant here. Thanks for listening!
Yes it can be annoying and makes it much harder to find something. However, I have also benefited from ebay sellers not mentioning some key words. Anyways, congratulations on your find! You're that much closer to completing the set!
Yes... there was a time I would scroll through several thousand eBay listings while on the exercise bike. That's how I found ANACS cert#75 (and 125 too). The NGC Collector's society has been very good to me. Four or five rare sample states were used in 2005 2006 and 2007. Unfortunately by 2009 they were doing golden dollara not 50SQ.
You may need to turn it into a cone if gemmy catches you, but a sense of humor is a terrible thing to waste...
