That being said, it looks like it was buffed with 200 grit sandpaper.

Don't the new rules forbid listing value in the listing, raw or " non-5" ?

Starts Oct 1 as of now.

    Nicely cleaned coin though.

Most definitely a slider. Not sure what kind of slider though.

    funny:
another lot is a 1921 S walker, he says: "The coin grades VF-39/XF-40. I promise you will not run across many of these in XF."

    That includes his piece.

Just a crummy cleaned VG to fine.
And a new grading system at no additional charge: VF-39!

Arizona: How did you realize that this is King-O'-Coins?

Alright... I'll play devil's advocate for a minute. It does say "It has been cleaned" and "it does have numerous hairlines" in blue writing in the listing. That's honest, right?

Is this some guy who got shut down once and now he's back or what?

Who in their right mind would buy a coin pictured in goldtone lighting where you can't see the actual colors of the coin? Well, maybe the last 37 that left him + feedback. Still there's obviously something wrong here. Nice photos, though.

That V nic has a strange color to i. Maybe it is just the pic but if someone want to sell a coin they should make sure the pic is correct:eek:

The 12s looks grainy, perhaps cast counterfeit?
    the 12D is, well, circulated.

It has recently come to my attention that someone here has accused me of selling a counterfeit 1912-S Liberty Nickel, and a counterfeit 1912-D Liberty Nickel.

I am demanding anyone that feels these coins are counterfeit to contact me. We will both put up $50,000 a piece. A third party ANA member will submit the coin to ANACS.

If the coin comes back genuine, I will take your $50,000. If the coin comes back not genuine, you will keep my $50,000.

You can contact me via PM.

Anyone wishing to double or triple the bet is even more welcome.

Furthermore, I wish to speak directly to anyone that feels these coins are counterfeit. I would like your phone number, and I will contact you immediately, and we will settle this matter.

    Thank you.

Just to let you guys know, neither I nor Coin Talk takes a position in this matter. If the members wish to have a polite discussion about whether or not a coin is genuine, that's great. That's what this site is about. But, please don't expect myself or anyone else to act as an arbiter on this matter, that's what the slabbing services are for.

And, just to let everyone know, seatedliberty, whomever he is, sent me a note this morning threatening a lawsuit. As always, my position on disputes between members is that it remains a dispute between members. Myself and the moderators are here to make sure the level of discourse remains polite, we're not here to decide whether one member is correct over another member.
