So I've finally found a 1982 small date penny. The curve in the two, how much further from border it is, the smaller eight, the W is more defined as is Liberty. What do y'all think?
I think you got it. Is it the zinc or the bronze? The zinc is 2.5g, and is the scarcer; the bronze weighs less.
The bronze weighs 3.1 grams .... It's also worth the most ... https://www.cointalk.com/threads/19...he-difference-between-copper-or-brass.299631/
That's right. But worth most? Lol. Like 2 cents compared to 1? Really. The bronzes are bubbly and harder finds in the higher grades, thus maybe there they can be said to be worth more. There are seven varieties, actually. And really, all things considered, none are worth any more than the others.

Rick, bronze is mostly copper. At any rate, there are just bronze and zinc-core cents. When we say "copper," technically we mean, 95% copper, 5% tin, or, in other words, "bronze." Here are the big brains at NGC on these: https://www.ngccoin.com/news/article/803/.
So after reading the info, it looks like Ngc, calls all the small date ( 3.1 grams ) bronze ? 1982 Large Date Bronze 1982 Small Date Bronze 1982-D Large Date Bronze 1982 Large Date Zinc 1982 Small Date Zinc 1982-D Large Date Zinc 1982-D Small Date Zinc
I'll have to look back and see. Meanwhile, is that what you found there? I recall they said the bronze ones weigh around 20% more than the zinc ones.
Well heck I thought I had the copper and the zinc down, now I'm back to my first week I'm confused as heck. LOL
