That sure is a nice coin I'm fairly new at this myself but it looks like a double-die to me. But then it also could be machine doubling hang in there some of these guys that are really really good I'll come by and help you out. From my understanding usually if the date and the mint mark is also doubled then normally it's machine doubling But there again I may be wrong.
Thank you, I am having the hardest time knowing what to look for in a doubled die. I thought I have found like three now!!! Lol!! Thank you for your help and I will just keep looking!!!
Figure you are cutting a cookie out with a cookie cutter and you move it just as you start to lift it from the cookie dough. It will leave a flat shelf-like smear. That's how I think of it...perhaps wrong, but it helps me.
