1961 gold color penny

    There would be no profit from all of the work of cleaning it, so why bother?

    Just spend it.

Postage no more pictures of it and I cleaned it up some and it really shines is that make any difference or is it still nothing and I still just spend it thank you sir I do appreciate your opinion cuz you are the expert and I am not before I do spend the owner make sure it is nothing thank you sir again

    I would say do some more research. And if you have the storage you can keep it for 10 years or so and see if the prices for that go up.

    Age and/or shine do not make a coin valuable. Damage make a coin worth only face value. Your coin is damaged. It didn't come from the mint in that condition. Everything you might do to it is like putting lipstick on a pig, a waste of time and lipstick.

    No, I am not an expert, but I know a damaged coin when I see one.

    Just in case you do find a valuable coin, do not shine it up! Probably one of the worst things you could do to a collectable coin.

    Never attempt to clean a coin, (or most anything) unless you are skilled at it.

    It has no additional value. This is just the product of a science experiment. You should spend it.

    No way this is a science experiment... The coin is valuable .. My grandfather was a coin collector and I have the same coin as well. Everyone in the USA didn't make a 1961 penny gold playing around. Hold on to that.
