I'll be reporting them (but I might have memory lapses at times, like when I see PCI, SEGS and ICCS.)
I understand fully kanga. I think we really need to start reporting the VAST majority of the others though. Anyone have the EASIEST method to do that with concerning ebay? Need a quick link - lots of reporting to do. clembo
I have reported about 100 of Aboncom auctions for listing violations - just thinking maybe easier if only report the ones he has gotten bids on! Hope ebay lives up to there policy! Aboncom is not the only scum on ebay need to get as many as we can!
Nickelman, My computer is damn near dead yet I managed to report a few myself. Want to know what's funny? I just popped SGS into the search engine to report anything that mentioned SGS and a grade in the title. By the time I got done copying and pasting one another one was up and NOT ALL ABON. REPORT, REPORT, REPORT! Ebay will start to look for easier ways to sort them out after a few thousand complaints.
Yea, I did a search on aboncom listings and reported almost everything he listed in the last 2 days. Then since I mostly lurk in the nickel section of ebay I reported anything under the Jefferson that had a grade in the title from bogus TPG's listed in the last 2 days.
It can get even more fun. Since my wife's computer works better than mine she's now in the hunt. Knows some about coins from living with me for 20+ years but I basically just gave her the paramaters and let her go. clembo
I look at it this way. A policy is a policy right? Ebay just stated theirs now it's time to live up to it. I believe they are trying the right thing after much pressure. Problem is they have NO IDEA how much pressure there is. For those that have friends with a few minutes to spare. It's reall easy to go on ebay and put SGS into the search engine. Now find any auction listed after the 17th. If it states in the title SGS GRADED MS(whatever) it is in violation of ebay policies and is therefore against the rules as set by ebay. Although these are coin rules they apply to the WHOLE ebay community so any member has a right to report them. This does not just apply to SGS by the way. You can punch in GEC or whatever your self slabber of choice. Bottom line is that after a few gazillion complaints they may find an easier way to do IT. GOD I HATE THE "IT" COMMERCIALS! Remember two extra letters and the ebay "IT" takes on a whole new meaning.
Do you really think Abon doesn't know the new rules or does he just think they don't apply to him? After all he's been honored by ANA LOL. I sure hope ebay slams him for good and as soon as they do it it will still be years late! I personnally hate NNC as much as SGS. Even turned in some of those I regularly buy from for listing NNC crap.
Don't Forget, My Favorite-- GEC :hammer:All these are in violation of the ebay new rules: 140158958985 130154390679 140158984168 150162661161 300152609965 200153119654 They're by one of my personal favorites, GEC.
Ladies And Gentlemen! GET 'EM ALL! Self slabbers that is and those that grossly overgrade and sell counterfeits. BUT remember.... there are some good sellers out there and TPGs that really ARE TPGs just not first tier as it were. Yes, I'm in a frenzy but at times rationality peaks through.
I'm going to be reporting alot of them also along with reporting counterfiets in other auction listings, as I always do.
I wondered why an NNC-graded coin with a PCGS value of $30,000 Ultra Rare 1919-S MS65 Lincoln Cent (Red)!! $30K!!</IMG> sold for $150. I guess you've answered that. The NNC-graded coins sure LOOK good in the pictures!
Report away, just don't forget this one little comment - As of this time the policy is not being enforced and enforcement may not be immediate as we work to make sure everything is working correctly.
I am guessing that you are right. You usually are, but I cannot find "As of this time the policy is not being enforced........." or anything resembling it on their new policy page nor anywhere else. Where is it?
