Picked this up a couple days ago. It was probably made for dimes, but since I don't have any dimes, I'll fill it up with gold! Thought it was a neat novelty. Madeleyn 2 month pictures 010.JPG Madeleyn 2 month pictures 011.JPG Madeleyn 2 month pictures 014.JPG

Neat. I only hope that top lip won't scratch the top coin.

I thought about that, so was very careful getting them back out (I only put them in for a photo op, lol). I also used my lower grade/cleaned coins just in case.

Very cool. Maybe it was made for gold coins. Who uses sterling silver to house mere dimes?! :p

Back when dimes were silver they did. The bus, a cup of coffee & a doughnut was a dime, as well as a phone call. People carried quite a few dimes for everyday use.

There really isn't anything that screams bourgeoisie more than a Tiffany & Co change holder filled with gold, is there?

I had to google it to see what that even meant, lol. And now it can be owned by a middle classer, who supports a family of 4 on one middle class income. God bless capitalism!
