It is!!!!! No doubt. I have purchased coins from this seller in the past w/o problem. He also sells on Vcoins I believe.

To me the toning proves it is the same coin. This seller is high volume and likely relisted the coin by mistake and would take it down if he realized his mistake.

Yes, I have bought several coins from him and all are nice. It may just be a listing error. At least I hope so.

That was my first thought. I will contact him with my photo.

I've seen coins I've bought still listed before. Hopefully just an honest mistake.

@red_spork is probably correct. If a high volume seller doesn't have a streamlined, efficient, and integrated means of keeping inventory (and labeling images), this type of thing can happen-- especially if selling on multiple venues. We've seen it here on CoinTalk a time or two.

I went ahead and sent an email to the seller with my picture attached and explained to him that I bought the coin several months ago from him at VCOINS and that he probably forgot to take the eBay listing down. Like I said, I truly belive the coin is real and I trust this seller. I'm sure it's all just a mistake. I won't hesitate buying from him in the future.

It's happened to me a few times. So that's probably the situation.

Still miss a Domitian Denarius that was an error listing already sold on VC but not removed.

Both are photos of the same coin. I agree with the suggestion above that the seller accidentally relisted the same coin. It has happened to me when I bought from that particular dealer, but in fairness, also with others. I do not like the fact this dealer describes coins with fake patinas as having real patinas - they stick out in his inventory because they have the same blue-green look by memory. That is why i have not bought from him again. That might not bother some people. It is just my personal position with respect to this dealer.

Commenting on the Collage, above, take a look at the right side of the reverse. There seems to be some subtle differences on that edge of the coin.

EDIT: On a second look, I realized it could just be the lighting and angle of the photo

Just this morning I got an email from the seller thanking me for pointing out his error. When I bought the coin on VCOINS he had forgotten that he had the eBay listing and it continued to relist. I also looked the purchase up in my records and see that he listed at a good discount on VCOINS compared to the eBay listing. I will be happy to do business with him in the future.

Glad to hear it. Antonio has always been an easy one to deal with in the past.

You and me both. I can't help but be suspicious since he often has many coins with the same patina. Because of this I wouldn't put it past him to maybe even mix a few fakes among his stock. Not sure why people still give him business.
