Paper Money Contest...Let's Help DeOrc !

Hello Everyone....

I would like to hold a contest in order to help out DeOrc find out exactly what his recent addition (USA Continential Note) says on the reverse. The contest winner will be decided by DeOrc when he is satisfied
with the answer from a fourm member! All information discovered about this note will need to be displayed in the Paper Money fourm under a thread I will start called "Information on the Colonial Note of DeOrc"

The winner(again determined by DeOrc) will receive a three note set of US (red seal) $2 Notes!
These notes are in Fine to XFine condition. I will post pics of these note later this evening.

I have sent DeOrc a PM asking him to post an image of his Colonial note for you all to work with.

Good luck to all, and DeOrc, I hope we get some good info on that note you have!

ok this is the post to answer your q. De Orc that prolly a fake you have out there those kind of notes are sold a dime and dozen next to the lincoln memorial next time i go there ill get some for you. And if someone has more info than that and they are right more power to them. i dont have any books or reference material other than the stuff i got at the memorial so this si my shot at the contest i might be right looking at the note it is from a English colony not a fench one so my bet is it Virginia or Maryland let me know if you like my fake answer though. thanks

 

I have found the answer to DeOrc's note! I have sent him an email explaining this note.
Since I am the contest originator, I do not qualify for the prize. It took all of 20 min to find this...

First one to get it and post's to DeOrc wins!!

There is one certain fact about DeOrc's note that is different than all others I have found!
Name that difference in this note!

OK, I've spent three hours searching different web sites prior to ever seeing this post. Do you have a dunce prize - because I feel pretty stupid looking for hours when you found it in 20 minutes :bow: ... The important thing is that Steve has more information about the note - good job and way to help another member (again) !!!

 

I am overwelmed by the amount of info, bits of it I knew but there is so much new stuff, thanks to one & all
