I found this penny the other day, oh hell with it, i'll let you judge it for yourself and you guys can tell me what you think it is...
right, i was thinking this too. But you can't be too sure, if it was environmental wear, why does it look this good? wouldn't there be traces of copper? for some reason i feel like it may have left the mint like this... or maybe I just have a big imagination...
Big imagination is my vote, though in a most respectful way. The coin didn't leave the mint that way. With regards to copper left or traces. The zinc penny is almost 98% zinc. And the coin displayed shows plenty of circulation wear, even though the cent shows some details it is VF at best with environmental damage
Oh yea , sorry. Zinc coated obviously.as far as an error. I think the error is our mint decided to use this composition to make our coins.
