I finally got myself a loupe to look for errors! It's quite addicting!

I know my image isn't straight, but mint mark looks a bit tilted. Is this an error, and if so is it special in any way?

My guess is that this was just before the mint mark die became part of the master die, and so the coin wasn't exactly straight when punched at the Denver Mint.

I believe they incorporated the mintmark as part of the die in 1990. However, I do see some evidence of die deterioration.

Alright, thank you both. I'm new to this and am not very familiar with die deterioration doubling. So you're saying the overuse of the die caused the 'D' to be slightly tilted?

It was not over use of a die to create a tilted MM. The mint marks were hand punched into the die prior to 1990 s, depending upon how accurate the person was who placed the mint mark there. They (MM) can often be all over the place.

Yeah and thats how RPMs can happen. Nice find, not sure on rarity however. I wouldn't think too rare.
