Ever see one of these before? I saw it at the Devens, MA coin show this past weekend. It is going on auction next month. Looks to be a dime that found its way into the Lincoln cent press.

Well, if the date is the same from both impressions, which I see no reason to doubt, it is not hard to envision this occurring. A minted dime could find its way back into the stream of blanks for any other denomination rather innocently (incomplete emptying of carts, porta-hoppers, or whatever other containers they use to move product between different stages of manufacture), and from there it could easily fit into the coining chamber of the larger Lincoln Cent.

It's the well known and popular Double Denomination, Cent on a Struck Dime, or 11C Piece. There are thousands of them known.
