    5 francs, France, 1945. Compared to its large diameter and size, this coin is very light, you can hardly feel any weight in your grasp. Being made of aluminium. There are 5 variants; with a letter B, C and without a letter, aluminium and alum/bronze variants. It is easy to guess why it was made of aluminium. This one is an alum without letter variant.
    So, 1945 or back to France

    Very nice!

    I looked this one up. Why is it labeled as Saudi? If I understand it correctly these "Disks" were minted in by the US in Philly to pay for oil purchased from a Saudi Arabian oil company.

    IMO these should be labeled as a US Trade token or something similar.

    Yes, I get up at 6:00 AM./ go to bed around 11:00PM....so still have a little time for coins, either very early like now, or around bedtime like sunday nite:happy:
