Nice, The question is what in the world do you do with $1,930 in star notes. I would need them to pay the divorse lawyer with if I had any intention of keeping them...

Thanks for sharing - would love to see pics.

    You hit that one Darryl.

I have at least that in star notes but did it over years - not in a day.

Pics or series and serial numbers would be nice. See if you got any better ones in the bunch.

    Cograts!

A pretty loaded question there as there are a LOT of different star notes. Looks like you may have to buy a good book with one of those babies.

Darryl are you out there? I'll let you do the honors sir!

You deserved that Darryl as you HAVE done so much reading!

    Pupa,

Get the 7th edition by Schwartz and Linquist (it will still always be Oakes and Schwartz to me but I believe Dean Oakes passed away).

The book covers darn near anything you'll get at a bank or in change.

See that, you pass me the ball and I manage to get it wrong :rolling: .

Thanks for the correction :hail:- Really Pupa - it's a great book!!! Lots of pictures and an easy to use reference book... Only goes back to 1928 (small notes) but again that would cover most anything in circulation.

Good Luck, On Monday I will gladly look up some of those numbers if you would like.

    Regards

    Darryl

    Great Find Pupa....

Star's are always special...I hope you find some nice one's in that group? It seems odd that so many and none of them are even close on the SN# for in order notes. Did the Teller say anything when your jaw hit the counter??

    Nice Score!!!! :):)

Wish I had seen your "going to the bookstore" post earlier. Most bookstores will not carry a book like that.

Might I suggest calling ahead to coin shops? I'm sure it can also be found on ebay and a variety of currency sites. Just make sure and get the latest (7th edition).

Borders had one copy in Pittsburgh, so online may be the way to go.
