I am a big fan of Improperly Mixed Alloys. I couldn't pass it up. IMG_3560.JPG IMG_3561.JPG

MS-63. Just a guess, the TPGs always seem really tough on woodies.

This is a hard one to grade on pictures for that woodgrain toning. AU58, but that might be unjust. That is to say, this is one I'd want to see in-hand.

I agree the grain is hard to grade. The luster can show a lot of difference due to the hardness of the alloys.

I can see it graded MS-64 for the muted luster.

Based off those pictures I would not go higher that 63. The local shop had a 64 in the display case that the strike reminded me of your coin.

I'll go MS 64 ...I think it is pretty unique, but like others have said, I will guess that NGC left off a point or two due to the wood grain

I too love Woodies either cents or nickels as well as world coins with improperly mixed alloys . I'm at 64 on this one and would of pulled the trigger in a NY second . ..
However I spent my Saturday at a BBQ Battle ended up cooking enough hot dogs and sausages to feed an Army. See my thread how not to spend a Saturday :)

MS but lower. There's a lot of definition missing in the center of the obverse.
Even if it is due to the strike, it's still missing some critical features.
    The reverse is better.
    Great woodie.
