    hamman88 Spare some change, sir?

What years of proofs were non-cameo, cameo, and deep cameo all made and are not rare?

For Lincolns and Jeffersons, 1968 through 1971.

Each year for each coin has a red, cameo, and deep cameo. I do not know what you definition of affordable is, but they should be available for <$30 each - assuming that you can find them.

Sorry, I was thinking of Lincolns when I said red. I mean each year has 3 coins available for both Lincolns and Jeffersons.

As a general rule, the coins in Proof sets started to commonly have cameo devices after 1973. The further back you go - the less likely it is to find cameo examples.

That being said, you can find cameo examples clear back to the very first Proofs.

So, in 1973 I'll be able to find noncameo, cameo, and dep cameo?

Looking at the PCGS price guide and the NGC population reports, it means that 1973 and later it will be difficult to find non-cameo proof coins at least for Lincolns and Jeffersons. As for years where all 3 are available, add 1963 and 1964.

That's true for slabbed examples because few would submit non-cameo coins for slabbing since they are not worth the cost.

But the question was - "What years of proofs were non-cameo, cameo, and deep cameo all made and are not rare? " - and the answer is 1973.

After 1973 it becomes harder to find non-cameo, and the further forward you go the harder it gets.

Before 1973 it becomes harder to find cameo or deep cameo examples, and the further backward you go the harder it gets.
