    Neat "woodie"!

Woodgrain toning is not my cuppa tea, personally - though I do find it interesting. There are folks out there who really like these.

Grade? Value? I'll let the Lincoln folks have a go.

Value is likely to be fairly modest. It is definitely a lightly circulated coin; I'd call it XF45 to AU50 at best. Its hard for me to say, based on those images.

I will say that as far as "woodies" go, that one does have some really cool striations. Too bad it isn't a Mint State coin.

The Photos are not clear enough to tell wear vs weak strike. although there is some wear on the obverse. cheek and ear. It is AU.
Cool Woodie! or, Improperly Mixed Alloy.

I don't see any way it's as low as XF. Hard to say whether it's AU or MS. The motion almost makes it look like the "9" in the date is doubled. Weird.

  8. Nice coin - MS61+ - worth $10 plus to someone who likes woodies

I like woodies, but the kind you put your surfboard on the roof.

Thanks I was hoping that more members would give me their thoughts on a value of this coin also.

Most people won't do that. Too many variables. Value ALWAYS requires matching a willing buyer and a willing seller. Absent that, everything else is guessing, and guessing ALONE.

This VERY SAME COIN has WIDELY different values if nobody wants to buy it, or if two very wealthy people simply have to have it. See?

A close up of the date would help. You may have a doubled die.
    The ...9... sure looks it.

Stabilizing the coin and camera, could help you get a more defined photo.
a closer photo of the Date will help with any thoughts of doubling.
