    Looks like simple strike doubling to me..

    Boy that's a shame but it's a clean coin I think I'll keep it just for a talk piece at least I'm not losing any money on it it's still worth a penny

    Sure... it's all part of the learning experience, plus now you've a nice reference example of this type of "doubling". :)
