Hi Everyone, I live on the dark side in the ancient coin forum. I volunteer at a charity shop and we got this interesting toonie in today. It's one of the new ones they've released to celebrate Canada's 150. As you can see, the middle part is coming out a little bit. It seems to be intact except for this one spot. I was wondering if anyone had any comments. Is it worth anything other than $2? Thanks for all your help! Erin
I could never remove any that I had, Frank. Any idea how to do it? I tried freezing it and banging it with a hammer and the flat head of a nail...

I drilled a hole in a piece of pine (soft) set the coin over the hole and used a large flat ended steel punch and hammer. It popped but of course the coin was ruined. Not recommended but I just wanted to test the coin.
